Send SMS Messages

In order to send SMS txt messages from Journease you will require an esendex account set up in the Lookup/Administration/Third Party Vendors window

We can use this window to send Ad-Hoc SMS text messages (note:- This is not the same as the Collection/Delivery/Tracking SMS messages that are set up in the Lookup/Administration/Tracking & SMS Options window).

As shown in the example above, we enter the main body of the text into the text box at the top, this will allow you 160 Characters per SMS, should you go over this amount it will send it as multiple text messages as shown in the Char Count box.

Enter the phone number into the SMS Number box and any additional text into the Additional Text box (this will be added to the Char Count)

Clicking the Refresh icon will show you the current status of the SMS message (Not Sent or Sent)

When you are ready to send your SMS make sure that the Select All - Send Column tickbox is checked and click Send Now (The Status should now change to Sent)
