How Jobs are priced
When a Job is calculated Journease searches through the pricing table (below) starting at the top and moving down the list until it finds a set of prices relating to the particular Job. |
Prices | ||
---|---|---|
1 | Customer Rates → Vehicle Description and Service Type | Fault FindingIf you have a Job that is not pricing as you would expect then first look to see if there are any job specific additional Prices. If none are found then start at the top of the list and work down checking each window to see if one of the previous windows holds pricing that is overriding the expected one. E.g. If you are expecting a Job to be priced using the information in the Customer General Details section of the Customer window, Have a look in the Customer Rates tab of the Customer window to see if different prices are shown here as these would override anything put into the Customer General Details section. |
2 | Customer Rates → Vehicle Description without Service Type. | |
3 | Customer General Details for Pricing Defaults | |
4 | Service Types → Service Type and Vehicle Type (non Customer specific) | |
5 | Service Types → Service Type without Vehicle Type (non Customer & non Vehicle specific). | |
6 | Vehicle Type → Vehicle Type without Service Type (non Customer & non Service specific). | |
7 | If nothing is found there it will default to £0.00 | |
8 | Additional prices are then added (toll fees, congestion charge, etc.) |
Costs | ||
---|---|---|
1 | Supplier Specific Costs → Vehicle Description and Service Type | Calculating costs works slightly different from Pricing. The order of cost checking is determined by the requirements for the Job and Supplier costs will always take presedence over vehicle costs which, in turn, will take presedence over customer costs. This may cause the costs for a Job to change once a Vehicle type, Service Type or Supplier are added. Fault finding is done in the same way however, start at the top of the list and work down until you find the cost that is affecting the Job. |
2 | Supplier Specific Costs → Vehicle Description without Service Type | |
3 | Vehicle Type Specific Costs → Vehicle Description and Service Type | |
4 | Vehicle Type Specific Costs → Vehicle Description without Service Type | |
5 | Customer Specific Costs → Vehicle Description and Service Type | |
6 | Customer Specific Costs → Vehicle Description without Service Type | |
7 | If nothing is found there it will default to £0.00 | |
8 | Additional Costs are then added (toll fees, congestion charge, etc.) |
