Tables appear throughout the Journease program (Customer details, Browser, vehicles, etc). When you are viewing a table and can see the icons in Fig 1 (in the top right hand corner of the table) it means that the table view can be altered, and in some cases exported. Fig 2 shows a snip of the default layout for a browser window, In Fig 3 you can see that we have re-ordered the columns

To alter the view of a table:-

  1. left click and hold in the column header
  2. Drag the column to the location you want it and let go
  3. If you click and hold on the right hand edge of a column header you can resize the column
  4. Once you have set the table to the view that you want click on the Save button (the far right button of the three shown in Fig 1), this will save the view for your user log on only so will not affect other users
  5. To reset the view to the default setting click on the Lightning button (the far left button of the three shown in Fig 1), this will reset the view for the current table back to its default setting

To Export Table data (where available):-

On some tables (e.g. The Browser) it is possible to export the data in the table to either a report (picture of current table) or as a CSV file for use in a spreadsheet.

  1. Once you have the details that you wish to export click on the export button (the middle button of the three shown in Fig 1).
  2. To export as a CSV file click YES to the question that pops up, this will then ask you to specify a file name for the document (by default this will be in the JourneaseFiles folder that your Invoices are sent to.
  3. To export as a report picture click NO, this will open the table in report view where you can print it or email it.
  4. To cancel the export and return to the screen click Cancel

Update 6.6.632

With the introduction of update 6.6.632 (26th Feb 2018) a new ordering system was introduced, before this update you would need to select which column to order by and how to order (ascending/descending), this would then need to be saved as a custom view using the save button on the right as described above.

The introduction of the update now means that the order-by column can be set simply by clicking in the column header (no save required). This would place a triangle into the column header, if the triangle is upright as above then it will sort the column in ascending order (newest to oldest), if the triangle is upside down then it would order the column in descending order (oldest to newest). This is now saved on a per user basis so each user can have their own order-by choice.

Note if you change the size or position of the columns this will still need to be saved using the save icon, it is just the selected order-by column that saves automatically
