| Fig 1 shows a diagram of an imaginary warehouse designed for this example. Here we can see the storage bays, quarantine area etc. Fig 2 shows the Stock Locations window from Journeys that i have set to match my imaginary warehouse. When stock is placed/moved around the warehouse it will be put in one of these areas and set in the Stock Items & PIDs window. |
| New | Click this to add a line to the bottom of the table to enable entry of a new stock location |
| Save | Click this to save any changes (N.B. this button will only be active if changes have been made) |
| Depot | If you have multiple Depots then selecting the Depot name in here will filter the results in the Table to make it easier to find the location you wish to change |
| Filter | Use the textboxes in this area to further filter your search by entering the criteria required and then clicking the Refresh button |
| Label Template | Use this to select the type of Label you wish to print |
| Print | Select the rows from the table that you wish to print a Label for then click this to print the selected labels |
| Location Code | This is simply the name that you are giving to this stock location - in this example A1 refers to the central area of Bay A which is in the top left of the warehouse diagram |
| Location Description | This is a brief description of where the location is |
| Depot Code | Use this drop-down box to select the Depot that this stock location refers to - when you do a refined search under Depot this is the column that it will check |
| Location Type | Use this drop-down box to select the location type (e.g. Warehouse, goods in, dispatch) Note TRANSIT locations represent vehicles and will only show when the depot is set to ALL |
| Set Catagory 1 / 2 / 3 | Use these to further categorise your stock location ( e.g. A1 is FLOOR and CENTER. If we search for an item with category 1 = Floor then this will be shown in the results) |
| Allow Despatch | Tick this box if items can be dispatched from this location |
| Quarantine Area | Tick this box if this area is a quarantined area, this will mean that items in this area will not be available when booking Jobs and only users with correct user access will be able to move stock from this location |
| Warehouse Admin | Tick this if only users with Warehouse Admin rights can see this location (see lookup/Administration/Users access) |
