Trip JobAddress Consolidation
This was designed for use with Retail Type jobs in mind, whereby there was a large number of individual Jobs (with associated product requirement) going to the same address.
When the driver arrived at the address and was required to scan the stock items, they had to search for the specific stock items for the current JOB which was one of many on the load for that address.
This Add-On Customisation will CONSOLIDATE all the jobs and product requirements onto one consolidation job making it easier for the driver to find the items to scan as they just need to find an item that is being delivered to that address. Once the items have been Delivered or Rejected the driver is able to POD the consolidation job which will then place the Products, POD information and any Photos taken back onto the original Jobs.
See below for a walk through of how this should work
Journease View
For this demonstration i have created SIX Jobs:-
Three for the first address (BS16 3RY)
Two for the second address (BS30 9DD)
one for the third address (BS15 8JX)
each with a single product requirement.
Next these Jobs were placed onto a Trip.
The Trip was then Optimised, Calculated and Saved (Circled in Red in the 2nd Image).
The Consolidate button was then pushed (Circled in Green in the 2nd Image) - NOTE This will only work if the Trip is in a SAVED state i.e. the Save icon is greyed out.
Once the consolidate button has been pressed Journease will compare:-
Postcode (BS16 3RY),
Company Name (MLV(Bristol))
Address Description (Drytac House, Filwood rd)
Address Type (Delivery)
and will ONLY consolidate jobs that match exactly in all three areas into a new job
Here we can see that it has segregated the jobs into three new jobs
= Addresses matched for BS16 3RY
= Addresses matched for BS30 9DD
BS15 8JX cannot be consolidated because it is a single address anyway
We now click the Process Consolidation button in the top left and will get a “pop-up” as shown in the 2nd image.
This is for you to verify that you wish to continue with the consolidation and you must enter the word YES and click OK for it to perform the consolidation.
Finally it will present the screen shown in the 3rd image.
This shows the new Consolidation Job Numbers (in this Instance Jobs 911 and 912)
Closing the window will return us to the Trip screen where we can see the Trip now holds the new consolidation Jobs.
Also if we check the Stock in the Stock Items & PIDs screen (2nd Image) we can see that the PIDs are now allocated to the new Consolidation Job Number
The Trip can now be sent to the drivers mobile in the usual way.

The driver will see the Trip as it is shown with the consolidated addresses.
When he arrives at the first address and scans the Items it will show all of the consolidated items on this one address
[IMG 3 & 4]
Even when a PID is rejected it will still show against this Consolidated Job
[IMG 4 & 5]
I have gone on to complete the Job and enter a POD signature and a POD Photo
I then went on to complete the other two jobs in the same way
Back in Journease
Once the Consolidation Job has been completed (or PIDs rejected) The PIDs are returned to the original Jobs along with the POD information and any photos
And in the Stock Items & PIDs screen we can see that all the PIDs have returned to their original Jobs even if they were rejected
